Dale Carnegie Training of Ohio and Kentucky is looking for highly motivated and opportunity-minded college graduates to groom into the exciting profession of sales. Extending beyond any traditional schooling, this program provides you with support, training and mentorship to insure that you will have a solid foundation on which you can build the rest of your career.

In this position, you will be calling on prospective companies, finding the appropriate decision-makers, and consulting with them to convey the value proposition of Dale Carnegie Training. Your tenure will last for only a year and in that timeframe, you will become a subject matter expert in a number of industries. You will come to understand the challenges facing companies, be exposed to strategies and tactics commonly used in business and the impact that talent development can have on an organization. You will also have an opportunity to continuously train in a fast-paced, supportive, team environment with some of the best instructors worldwide using the most innovative training and development methodologies to date.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Participating in local programs to understand the Dale Carnegie value proposition.
  • Calling managers, department heads, and high level executives in companies.
  • Conveying the value proposition of Dale Carnegie Training to businesses owners and managers.
  • Conducting needs assessments with prospects.
  • Responding to requests for information and proposals.
  • Maintaining all records and generating reports on sales activities and opportunities.

Qualifications and required skills:

  • Self starter, someone who can be an initiator.
  • Open minded, can-do attitude and the ability to be coached.
  • Customer service oriented attitude.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Time management and organization skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Familiarity with MS office applications or Google Apps.
  • Familiarity with current web technologies (social networks, search engines, Instant Messaging, etc…) a plus.

The team at Dale Carnegie Training of Ohio and Kentucky is looking for flexible and out-of-the-box thinkers to become instructors and coaches for our programs. Someone who is personable, flexible, and has a commanding presence in front of groups will be an excellent fit for this position.

As an instructor, you will be a mentor and coach in our programs consisting of 20 to 40 participants per class. You will conduct reviews of participants’ advancement in the program, their progress in achieving their stated outcomes, and coaching them to exceed their current perceived limitations. As a trainer, you will constantly push the edge in presentation and communication tactics and methodology to keep participants engaged, keep the programs lively and interesting. If you enjoy being in front of a group, watching people grow, and helping people exceed their expectations, then we have a place for you.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting consultations with participants and sales team to determine participants’ outcomes.
  • Participating in local training events and program refreshers.
  • Consult with director of Training and other trainers to exchange training ideas.
  • Maintaining records and generating reports on sales activities, opportunities and account health.
  • Consult with Account executives and account managers to tailor solutions to clients needs.

  • Familiarity with Lotus Notes a plus.
  • Familiarity with current web technologies (search engines, Instant Messaging, email…) a plus.
